This informative and interactive 2 hour session is tailored for employees of organizations providing services in homes/ shelters in the community.  Foundational Domestic Violence Education is paired with real life applications to enhance understanding and provide tools for dealing with challenging situations while on the job.

 

Staff who may be struggling with Domestic Violence in their own lives or the lives of loved ones will receive valuable information and receive tools that they can implement to help in their own lives.  Domestic Violence is isolating and is not easily recognized, especially by those who are being abused.

As a root cause of Mental Illnesses like Depression, Anxiety, Domestic Violence is directly related to   Absenteeism ( staff not coming to work) and Presenteeism (staff coming to work not well and making errors).

Empower Your Employees + Violence in the Workplace Training & Certification

This informative and interactive half day session combines the Empower Your Employees session with training and certification of participants for mandatory Violence in the Workplace Training. 

 

Certification is to be renewed every 3 years as per Ontario Health and Safety Act (OHSA)

​

8:00 am – 8:15 am – Welcome and Introductions

8:15 am -  9:30 am – Violence in the Workplace Training and testing

9:30 am – 10:00 am -  Break

10:00 am – 12:00 pm – Empower your Employees
